Be Real Human Beings
In order to be a member of this Network, you must sign up with the email address that you used to create your original profile. We ask you to use your real name or a nickname or a business name. Limiting membership to those in the industry keeps the conversations constructive and means no one has to deal with anonymous trolls.
Aim for Respectful, Constructive Conversations
Without constructive feedback and debate, we won't be able to achieve our collective goal to get the most out of Carnytown. Without respect and civility, constructive feedback and debate is impossible. Therefore, respect and civility need to be the hallmarks of this community.
Share the Love
Share what you know and help out other Carnies where you can. Being generous with your time and knowledge can pay dividends now and in the future.
Search Before Posting
It's possible that there's already a conversation taking place about a topic you want to discuss and keeping it all in one place makes it easier for everyone who's interested. Use the search box on the Main Frontpage at the top of the center column, to do so.
Be Relevant
Keep your posts on-topic and in the correct category of the forums. And be sure when posting to blogs that your topic is clear enough to enable folks to understand what the blog is about. Keep any other comments relevant to the content they're attached to.
Here's a list of DON'Ts here on the Network Creators Network:
Don't Promote Your Network or Services
This is not the place to advertise services, solicit business, drop affiliate links or recruit new members to your own Network. Linking to your Network on your profile page is fine, but linking to it repeatedly on comment walls or as a signature on forum posts or replies is not.
Harass or Insult Other Members
Making personal attacks, insulting other members, or discussing a specific member or Network or employee of Carnytown in a negative way is not ok. The two golden rules are: if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all; and treat others as you'd like them to treat you. We will try to remember that also.
Post Private Information
Do not publicly reveal information like your email address, phone numbers or addresses, unless you do not wish to retain privacy. The entire world can see your phone number unless you make it private.
Spam
Spam is posting the same message repeatedly across the Network. Spam is writing the same post or comment over and over again. Spam is sending the same message to multiple members. Spam is promoting or advertising external services, websites or other products. Please don't spam. Now, that you have read all that, go and enjoy Carnytown. The premier web business and social network for those in the outdoor amusement business.
